St. Joseph Central 15, Lee's Summit North 10 - The Broncos gave up 10 unearned runs in the first inning and were forced to play from behind the rest of the game. Randen Schleiden led the Broncos' 14-hit attack with four.

Belton 6, Lee's Summit West 4 - The Titans took a 4-2 lead in the eighth inning before a pair of errors led to a four-run bottom of the inning for the Pirates, including a walk-off two-run homer.

SOCCER

St. Thomas Aquinas 2, Lee's Summit North 1 - The Broncos stood tough with the Kansas powerhouse but eventually fell in penalty kicks. Ashley Licata scored the lone Bronco goal.

Here are the area results from tonight's games:

TENNIS

Lee's Summit 5, Ray-Pec 4 - Mark Hansen, Matt Reynolds, Brian Wolz and Caleb Larsen all picked up singles wins. Hansen and Reynolds combined for the deciding doubles win.

BASEBALL

Lee's Summit Community Christian 11, KC East Christian 1 - The Eagles broke a 1-all tie with six runs in the third and four in the fourth for the easy win. The Eagles are now 1-0 on the season.

Park Hill South 3, Lee's Summit West 0 - The Panthers broke a scoreless tie with one run in the fifth and two in the sixth. The Titans were only able to scratch out five hits.

SOCCER

Lee's Summit Community Christian 3, KC East Christian 2 in OT - The Eagles weren't at the top of their game but were able to squeeze out a win thanks to an own goal by KC East in overtime. Jennifer Rogers and Jessie Lambert scored goals.
