Tuesday night scores

BASEBALL

Lee's Summit West 3, William Chrisman 2 - Head coach Jay Meyer wasn't real pleased with his teams effort Tuesday but they were able to squeak out a win. Brandon Fields hit a sacrifice fly in the seventh for the go-ahead run. West is now 6-3 on the year.

Lee's Summit North 10, Blue Springs South 9 - The Broncos nearly let an 8-1 lead slip away before hanging on. David Longcoy recorded the final out with the bases loaded. Chad Shannon was 3-for-3 with a homer and 5 RBI.

Rockhurst 10, Lee's Summit 0 - Tiger head coach Jim Mellody said it was just one of those games as the Hawklets were in control from the start.

Lee's Summit Community Christian 12, Lone Jack 2 - The Eagles broke open a scoreless game through four innings with seven runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth. Steve Santon got the win on the mound and had a big two-run single in the seven-run fifth.

SOCCER

Lee's Summit Community Christian 8, Holden 1 - Jennifer Rogers and Taylor Harmon each scored two first half goals as the Eagles cruised to the victory. They are now 5-1 on the season, two more wins then they had all of last season.

Lee's Summit West 3, Raytown 2 - After a scoreless first half the Titans remained patient and picked up a big conference win over the Blue Jays. West went ahead 3-0 on two goals by Mollie Harmon and one from Katie Davis. The Blue Jays made things interesting with two goals in the final 15 minutes, but West was able to stay undefeated at 7-0.
